The IC693PWR321 is a 30-Watt power supply module belonging to GE Fanuc’s 90-30 Series, specifically engineered to deliver reliable power to Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Designed for installation in the leftmost slot of the baseplate, this versatile module supports both AC and DC input power, with a voltage range of 85–264 VAC (nominal 120–240 VAC) or 100–300 VDC (nominal 125 VDC). Its input power requirements are 90 VA for AC operation and 50 Watts for DC operation, with a peak inrush current of 4 Amps (maximum duration of 250 milliseconds).
Featuring a robust construction and an internal battery, the IC693PWR321 offers multiple output voltages to meet diverse system needs: 5.0–5.2 VDC (nominal 5.1 VDC), 24–28 VDC for relay circuits, and an isolated 21.5–28 VDC supply for modules requiring external power. Its output power capabilities are rated at a maximum of 15 Watts for 5 VDC and 24 VDC relay operation, 15 Watts for 24 VDC relay circuits, and 20 Watts for the isolated 24 VDC output. The module incorporates comprehensive protection mechanisms, including overvoltage protection (6.4–7 VDC), overcurrent protection (maximum 4 Amps), and a power supply limiting feature that triggers immediate hardware protection in the event of a direct short circuit. A built-in smart switch fusing further enhances system safety.
Fully compatible with all 90-30 Series CPU models, the IC693PWR321 holds cULus and CE certifications, and is designed for use in Class 1 Division 2 rated environments. It is equipped with 6 terminals for operator connections, an enhanced diagnostics system that logs all events and updates for real-time monitoring, and a 9-pin sub-D RS-485 serial port. This serial interface enables seamless communication with peripheral devices, CPUs, and computers. Additionally, the module includes an internal fuse (GE catalog number 44A724627-109), with approved third-party replacements such as Bussman 215-002 (GDC-2/GMC-2) and Littlefuse 239-002. A holdup time of 20 milliseconds ensures uninterrupted operation during brief power fluctuations.
