The IC693MDR390 is an integrated discrete input/output (I/O) module designed for the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform. Featuring 8 discrete input channels and 8 discrete output channels configured as Normally Open (N.O.) relay contacts, this module delivers versatile I/O functionality for industrial automation applications. The input channels are engineered to accommodate voltage ranges from -30 to +30 VDC (nominal 24 VDC), drawing a typical current of 7.5 mA at the rated voltage. They operate with an On-state voltage range of 15-32 VDC and On-state current of 4 mA, while the Off-state specifications are 0-5 VDC and 1.5 mA, with a typical response time of 7 ms for both On and Off transitions.
For the output channels, the module supports dual voltage ranges: 5-30 VDC and 5-250 VAC (50/60 Hz), with each relay contact capable of handling a maximum load current of 2 Amperes and a maximum current of 4 Amperes per common. The 8 output channels are divided into two groups of 4, allowing for independent power sourcing with different voltage ranges if required. Output response time is typically 15 ms for both On and Off transitions. Backplane current consumption is 80 mA when all I/O channels are active and 70 mA when all outputs are energized.
Functionally, the module serves as a user-friendly trigger device: discrete inputs from manual switches, pushbuttons, limit switches, and photocells can be directly connected, with each input corresponding to a relay output that controls user-defined loads such as motor starters, alarm indicators, and solenoid valves. Each circuit is equipped with a status LED, providing visual confirmation of the relay’s state (open in normal condition, closed when energized).
